We recently installed 32 CLF Ares RGBW LED fixtures in the Zuiveringshal West, which saved no less than 65% more energy than the old halogen lights.

Due to the limitless number of colour combinations, organisers can use them to create any possible atmosphere in the hall. The Westergasfabriek chose the CLF Ares in particular due to its very high output.

Installing LED lights in event locations is part of a wider innovation project by the Westergasfabriek to makes its buildings and site more sustainable. As part of this the Westergasfabriek participates in the 'National Monument Sustainability' pilot scheme operated by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, the aim of which to spread information about how you can make national monuments more sustainable whilst maintaining their characteristic features.

Alongside LED lighting the Westergasfabriek has also invested in extra insulation, waste processing and solar panels on the roof of the Gashouder providing electricity for the surrounding area. At the moment a number of cultural institutions in Amsterdam are buying in completely green energy.
