A multichannel digital audio converter bridging AES/EBU and MADI digital formats bidirectionally with a redundant Milan-AVB network. 16 AES/EBU inputs, with asynchronous sample rate converters, and 16 AES/EBU outputs are connected through DB25 connectors. 64 MADI inputs and outputs are available when the sampling rate is set to 48kHz and 32 when set to 96 kHz. MADI is connected via two BNC connectors. The 80 input sources and 80 output destinations can be dynamically mapped to and from the Milan-AVB network using 16 streams of up to 8 channels. The clock reference is selectable from any one of six sources, the selected clock source is distributed to all outputs. BNC connectors are provided for Word clock input and output. Two Ethernet connections are provided for audio, remote control, and monitoring. A combination of the internal PSU and the dual, PoE-supporting, Ethernet ports provide power redundancy. Remote control and monitoring are accomplished via an embedded web interface accessible from any device with a web browser, with 10 user configuration memory locations available. A 10-point terminal block connector provides configurable GPIOs and 12V DC output. Housed in a compact and rugged 1RU chassis, heat is dissipated by a low noise temperature-controlled fan.
